How to get to Hannover Airport by Train

Upon arrival at Hannover Airport (HAJ), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, buses, and trains.

The Airport railway station is below Terminal C.

By S-Bahn train S5 line, the Hannover Airport Line (Hannover Flughafen – Paderborn), you can transfer to downtown at the Hannover Central Railway Station (German: Hannover Hauptbahnhof or Hannover Hbf).

The journey time is approximately 17 minutes, and the services are available every 30 minutes for 22 hours a day.

Extended service hours are also provided during specific festivals, such as the Hannover Fair.

You can buy your ticket at the vending machines in the S-Bahn Station at Hannover Airport and every train station.

Hannover Central Railway Station (German: Hannover Hauptbahnhof)

Hannover Hbf is the central railway station for the city of Hannover in Lower Saxony, Germany.

It is also the most important public transport hub of the region of Hannover, and it serves regional and S-Bahn services.

The station has six platforms with twelve platform tracks and two through tracks without platforms.
